Motivational Monday: Enjoy the Ride!!!


I thought I would keep today’s post sweet and simple!!! I think this picture just reminds us to make sure that we are enjoying all the changes we are making to adopt a healthier lifestyles. I know I have come to love a lot of new foods, and I am enjoying starting to try new dishes. Tonight I am making mini chicken pot pies, and I will share the recipe tomorrow. I am also finding that I am enjoying weight lifting, walking, and swimming.

I think the picture also reminds us to embrace our bodies right where they are at. I never really got what that meant, but one day I just started being thankful for all the things my body can do. So now I start each morning by being thankful for the body that I have right now at the size I am at. I can do so much with this body. I think the more we love our body right now, the more we will want to take care of ourselves. At least I am finding that to be true in my own life.

I sometimes have to push myself to really work at finding things I enjoy doing in regards to exercise and other hobbies. I also have to push myself to try new foods, but I am very thankful that I have been doing that. It makes it easier to get back on track after a bad food day (such as Saturday-totally ate way more than I needed too) because I truly enjoy the foods and activity that fit into my plan.

    Good for you for trying new things … food and otherwise. I just can’t seem to do that with food, although I have done it with fitness (ie Zumba, never thought I’d like that but I do). I’m not quite where I want to be, but it’s close enough that I do try to do exactly as your quote says. Thanks for linking up to MM :)
